The free choice of hospital initiative with waiting time guarantee reinstated 1 July 2009

There are now agreements in place between the Regions and private hospitals concerning waiting time guarantees. You again have the opportunity to be referred to Parkens Private Hospital, if you have to wait more than 4 weeks for an examination/treatment at a public hospital.

Parkens Private Hospital has received top scores from the Danish Board of Health in recent quality ratings relating to all public and private hospitals. Parkens Private Hospital has received 4 stars out of a possible 5 (nobody received 5).
 
By comparison, only 2 of the public hospitals in the Greater Copenhagen Area (Region Hovedstaden) obtained 3 stars, while the rest received 2.
The assessment was based upon physical conditions, patient’s experience of safety, hygiene, patient satisfaction and punctuality.
